The gist
We collect as little as possible. We don’t sell your data. We use privacy-respecting analytics, an email list you opt into, and affiliate links that may set a cookie when you click out to a retailer.
Analytics
We use aggregate analytics to understand which pages help readers. This is measured in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address solely to send the newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Contact messages
When you message us, we keep what you send so we can reply and follow up. We don’t use it for marketing.
Affiliate links
Outbound links to retailers such as Amazon may set a cookie so a purchase can be attributed to us for commission. That is standard affiliate tracking, handled by the retailer, at no cost to you.
The shop
Shop payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Order fulfillment requires sharing your shipping details with our production and shipping partner solely to make and deliver your order.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from email at any time, block cookies in your browser, and ask us what we hold or to delete it.
