Belt Drive
Platter driven by a belt from an offset motor.
In a belt-drive turntable an elastic belt links an offset motor to the platter (or a subplatter), isolating motor vibration for a quieter background. It’s the common choice for pure listening decks. The belt is a wear item and speed is set by pulley, not electronics.
